We strive to make aviation exciting and accessible to all students. Our flagship Young Aviators program is our second build of a Van's RV-12. While it's pretty cool to build a real airplane (let us know if you want to join the team), the program is designed for students to learn life skills including teamwork, problem solving, and leadership, in addition to acquiring STEM knowledge, analytical skills, and project management.
The plane is built in a series of kits. We reached our fundraising goal to buy the tail kit, and building started in July 2021. Now our plane needs wings! Because equity is a core value, we do not charge a participation fee. We fundraise as a team, which has grown rapidly to include 30+ students and 20+ adult mentors. The wings will cost about $8,500—and every donation helps.
This amazing program would not be possible without support from our incredible donors. Donations are vital to our success. Please consider supporting us.
